Plain Video Saver

Plain Video Saver saves video streams to your Mac. Paste a URL, choose a folder

and quality, press Start.

Everything it needs is already inside the app. No Homebrew, no Terminal, no

Python, no separate downloads.

WHAT IT DOES

• Paste one URL or many — one per line

• Grab the URL from the front tab of Safari, Chrome, Chromium, Arc, or Brave

• Pick a quality cap from 360p up to 4K, or just take the best available

• Prefer HDR / HLG / Dolby Vision when a source offers it

• Download up to 3 videos at once; the rest wait in the queue

• Save playlists into their own folder

• Watch progress per item, with a full log when you need it

• Works with regular video pages, HLS (.m3u8) streams, and direct video files

BUILT FOR MACOS

• Signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple — it opens without warnings

• Native SwiftUI interface with a sidebar, list, and info pane

• Follows your system light or dark appearance

• Japanese and English, chosen automatically from your system language

ABOUT COOKIES

Some sites only serve video to a signed-in browser. Plain Video Saver can reuse

the login cookies from your browser for those — but only after asking you, and

it names the exact site each time. Public streams never trigger it. Nothing is

sent anywhere except the site you are downloading from.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

• It does not remove or bypass DRM, and it never will

• It cannot save content protected by DRM, such as Netflix or Apple TV+

• It does not upload, share, or transmit anything you download

• macOS 13 Ventura or later

• Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) — Intel Macs are not supported

• 108 MB download; about 300 MB installed

• An internet connection

Updates within version 1.x are free — download the latest file from this page

any time. A future 2.0 will be a separate purchase.

Cookieについて

ログイン中のブラウザにしか動画を返さないサイトがあります。そうした場合に

ブラウザのログインCookieを使えますが、使う前に必ず確認ダイアログを出し、

送信先のサイト名を明示します。公開ストリームでは一切発生しません。

ダウンロード元以外のどこにも送信しません。

できないこと

• DRMの解除・回避は行いません。今後も行いません

• NetflixやApple TV+などのDRM保護コンテンツは保存できません

• ダウンロードしたものをアップロード・共有・送信することはありません

バージョン1.x内のアップデートは無料です。このページからいつでも最新版を

ダウンロードできます。将来の2.0は別購入となります。
